I love Pripara and Prichan, but bringing back some (slightly...) more mature elements from the Pretty Rhythm series could be fun.

...as long as they don't get too ridiculous with the world building. I'm fine with some magic, but Pretty Rhythm had some absolute nonsense in it, at times. >_<

Because they are spinoffs of Pretty Rhythm. They're not direct sequels, but they are related through the Pretty Series and Prism Stone, and were the successors of the original Pretty Rhythm anime and arcade games. They follow the same general theme, they're part of the same overarching franchise universe, but they are their own, separate series... that makes them a spinoff.

That doesn't mean they aren't "valid" new series. It's not an insult to be a spinoff.

Haha, it does, but they aren't directly connected. This isn't really a sequel, just part of that series. You don't NEED to watch the others... though, if you stick around and enjoy this one, you certainly can go back and watch more. ;)
